Search graduate awards & scholarships

UVic provides awards to graduate students of high academic standing. The distribution, value and duration of these awards and fellowships are determined by each academic unit.

FGS has a general graduate scholarship application which is accessible via a student's Online Tools, Financial Aid. The application is open between July 01 and September 15. All required documents must be received to FGS by the required deadline.

One or more awards are given to full or part-time undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in the Diploma in Cultural Resource Management, the Graduate Professional Certificate in Cultural Heritage Studies or any degree program at the University of Victoria.

Jeffrey Rubinoff Scholar in Art as a Source of Knowledge Travel Award

The Award is to cover travel, food and accommodation costs (the "Forum Costs") for the recipient of the Jeffrey Rubinoff Scholar in Arts as a Source of Knowledge Fellowship and two or more undergraduate or graduate students to attend the Company of Ideas Forum (the "Forum") which is conducted annually by the Jeffrey Rubinoff Foundation at the Jeffrey Rubinoff Sculpture Park (JRSP).

An award of $30,000 is given to a doctoral student in the field of Modern and Contemporary Art History. If there are no eligible candidates in this field, only outstanding doctoral candidates (excellent PhD proposal, high GPA) in other areas of Art History and Visual Studies will be considered.

One or more scholarships are awarded to either academically outstanding undergraduate or graduate students studying Asian Art in the Department of Art History & Visual Studies. Preference will be given to students studying the history of Chinese Art.
